Come and join this nice walk through the forest and then on to the downs before going down to Alfriston for lunch , if you come by car i think the car park charge is now £4.00, rather than £3.50.

I hope the weather is dry and to see you on Sunday thanks Big Neil

30s-50s Lewes to Eastbourne with Big Neil - Sunday 11th September 2016

Posted on September 8, 2016 at 18:00 0 Comments

Come and join us for this 19.5 mile walk this Sunday, it starts from Lewes station at 9.45 and we will be walking a fast pace in the morning, we walked this in April and we had 2 stops in the morning and we got to Alfriston at 13.45, for a 45 minute stop, in the afternoon we had 4x stops and we got to Eastbourne at 17.30.

If you only want to do half the walk, you can leave us at Alfriston by bus or train, the weather should be dry but cloudy thanks Big Neil

Big Neil's 30-50s walk - Sunday 7th August 2016

Posted on August 3, 2016 at 13:00 0 Comments

Hi all, i have some hip problems at the moment so my walk on Sunday will be shortened to 10 miles and finishing in Exceat / Seven Sisters country park, instead of back to East Dean,if you come by bus, you can still get the bus back to Brighton, if you come by car and park in east Dean, you can get the bus back to East Dean, it is only 3x stops.

Thanks for your understanding Neil

30s-50s Friston Forest and Downland Walk - Sunday 24th July 2016

Posted on July 20, 2016 at 21:30 0 Comments

Come and join us for a nice walk through the forest and on to the downs before we go down to Alfriston for lunch,if you want to do just the morning part of the walk there is a bus from Alfriston once an hour which will take you back to the start of the walk, after lunch we  leave Alfriston and follow the south downs way.

When we reach the top we do have a fairly long stop to admire the views, before continuing back through the forest and back to the start.

Thanks Big Neil
