I hope several of you are looking forward to the Whiteways (near Arundel) walk on Sunday. It should be a lovely lush woodland ending with a gorgeous stretch of the SDW and several great vistas. There are very few hill climbs, although it is definitely not flat, and no real mud either. There is however, one gentle but long hill, rather lusciously named the Gumber. Although there will not be a pub stop, there will be several pleasant places to have our picnic lunch and cake-heavy snack stops, along with a probable cake-and-tea visit to Arundel (time allowing). Please bring something to temporarily cover legs for two short, overgrown sections. There are toilets and a basic cafe at the start. Please can anyone willing to, bring cars to Preston Park at 9.45am as cars are required. Please can any kind driver liaise with passengers on Meetup or BAHR, pretty please.  Leader will meet you at the start to begin at 10.30am. There is a nice café at the start and end with ice cream or hot choc as weather dictates! Weather is promised!

Directions: Take the A27 to Arundel, go over the railway bridge and around the bypass. After going over the Arun river bridge you immediately get to a roundabout, take the third exit A284 London-Dorking and Pulborough.  Follow this to the next roundabout (Whiteways Lodge). Take the 2nd exit A29 Pulborough-Bury and Roman villa but immediately take slip road into car park. Don't worry about number of bikers, there is plenty of parking in the fields to the left.

It should be a most pleasant, revitalising walk, hope to see you at the start. Seb
