This week's walk takes us through the low-lying area between Wivelsfield and Cuckfield; a region full of streams, brooks, footbridges and, of course, water-loving wildlife. In the winter this area is often flooded and always muddy but in the summer a real delight, easy-going and only 10 miles! Lunch in Cuckfield, where there is a choice of pubs and cafes, or picnic in Cuckfield Churchyard.
Getting there: meet up at Brighton Station to catch 10:00 train to Wivelsfield arriving @ 10:15 (£5.80 return). I'll be in the last carriage. The walk will start @ 10:30 from the west side of the station. Parking available in roads around the station.
Return: trains to Brighton at '31 mins every hour
Hope you can make it!
