This Sunday's walk is a beautiful walk through woods and meadows at the foot of the Downs between Ashurst and Ashington. We have permission to park at Ashurst Rec on School Lane (opposite Ashurst CofE school). We will start at 10.25.
Lunch is at the fantastic Red Lion in Ashington (I have also found a picnic site for those who prefer). And after the 8.5 miles, optional afternoon tea at Steyning tea rooms.
Thanks to all the rain we’ve had recently it may be a bit muddy in places - but please don’t let that put you off as it’s a lovely walk.
I will meet people at the Rec in Ashurst so if anyone who is in Brighton and has a car can you please, please, please come to the level for 9.45.
