Please note that I have taken over leadership of this walk as Maggi is indisposed. It's quite hilly but some beautiful views compensate. There's one really muddy stretch towards the end. Walking poles recommended. Street parking on Windmill Drive or Mill Rise.
If anyone was thinking of taking the bus, please note that route 27 is temporarily suspended at the top of Westdene, so you should get off at the top of Valley Drive and walk across.
There is livestock on this route. So no dogs, other than registered assistance dogs.
