Monday Group Recruitment

For those of you who are unaware of this body, the Monday Group has been in existence since the end of the 2nd World War although the name only goes back to the 1960s. After the war the footpath structure was in a very poor state and the early members set about trying to improve the situation in the area to the north of the South Downs up to Burgess Hill and from Albourne to Chailey. Membership has waxed and waned in the last nearly 70 years and at present we are low in the path clearance section.

The Monday Group has the aim to keep all of its paths open and ready for use for all walkers and to achieve this aim we now need to recruit new members. The commitment is just 2 hours per week on Monday mornings. At present we have 6 volunteers and our aim is to recruit at least 4 more people male or female to enable us to complete footpath projects in a timely manner.

If you are interested in taking part please contact the undersigned to get more information.    Either phone 01273 541206 or Email peterjarm@sky.com.
