We are the Brighton and Hove group of the national Ramblers. Walking and socialising in and around the South East of England.

I've spent the past week in South Wales, on the Gower peninsula. It's a 2 week walking festival, comprising around 70 walks at various times of the day and encompassing many different kinds of walks. I easily found lovely accommodation, and have even had wonderful sunny weather!

It seems that they have had difficulty in getting people to run it next year, but if it does go ahead it's really worth going to. It would be great to get a group to go over there next year to support it. Have a look at the website (just type 'Gower walking festival into Google) and see what you think!

Hi Ellen, Just checked out the website, looks really beautiful, I'd certainly like to go, if you can drum up some more interest.
