Ramblers have teamed up with St.John Ambulance to provide First Aid training for Ramblers members. It will consist of a half-day training course to cover the basics, rooted in the scenarios you’re most likely to face on a group walk. Whether you are faced with cuts and grazes, broken bones, or something more serious – this course will give you the tools and confidence you need...and it's free!
The training will take place on FRIDAY 26TH JULY 0930 @ St John Ambulance,16 Crowhurst Road, Hollingbury, Brighton BN1 8AP. If you are interested in attending please book a place at https://bit.ly/30OdxhQ. It will last about 3.5 hours.
If you have further questions please contact Ramblers: 020 3961 3180 / volunteersupport@ramblers.zendesk.com
Thanks,
Stuart

I have been in touch with Ramblers to express disappointment with the communication of the First Aid Training event which was buried deep within the Newsletter and, in my opinion, is a bit of a hit-and-miss way to communicate such information. I know that some of our members were rightly upset at the short notice as they were keen to attend the event. The good news is that Ramblers have agreed to do a second round of training in the autumn and Brighton is on the list of venues. More importantly I have been assured that Ramblers will be in touch with members either directly or via their local group so there will be ample time to rearrange diaries and sign up!
Thanks for you understanding and patience.
Stuart
