The weather forecast isn't great and there will be mud! A circular walk via the Sussex border path, with a tea stop at the Chattri Memorial and lunch / picnic at the Wildflour Café at Saddlescombe Farm (after ca. 6.5 miles). Return to Ditchling Beacon via Pyecombe and the Jack and Jill windmills. There is a fair amount of up and down involved. Good boots and waterproofs will help no end!
Car parking limited. Accessible by public transport: Bus 79 from Brighton Station stop D leaves 10.20am arrives Ditchling Beacon at 10.42am. Leader joining bus at Fiveways. Return bus at 4.45pm.
