BAHR 2019 Christmas Lunch @ The Hilton Brighton Metropole 1890 Restaurant - 12th December

This year's Christmas Lunch on Thursday 12th December @ 1300 will be held again at The Hilton Brighton Metropole's splendid belle epoque 1890 restaurant, overlooking the seafront, which will be reserved exclusively for our group. The cost is £25 incl. VAT per person for a 3 course buffet with lots of choice and tea/coffee and mince pies. Attached is last year's menu as a guide. This year there will be Christmas Pudding as requested by several revellers!

Last year there was a bit of a bottleneck (pun intended!) at the bar so this year they have suggested that you pre-order your bottle(s) of wine (see wine list attached) which will be waiting for you in the restaurant on your arrival. Pay when you collect. Let me know what you want when you reserve. Those wanting only a glass of wine, soft drinks or beer please go to the bar. Hopefully this will speed things up!

Please contact me (chairbahr@gmail.com) for details on how to pay. Reservations required by Friday 16th August (we have to pay a deposit by September).

As tradition dictates there will be a walk beforehand, the details of which will be in the walks programme.

A very early Merry Christmas to you all!!

Many thanks to all of you who responded. To date we have 65 booked to come! The deposit has been paid so we have a firm reservation for Thursday 13th December (time to be confirmed). I will post another announcement in September as there are still plenty of places available!

The Festive Jazz Lunch menu is just to give you a 'taste' of what to expect as they didn't have any ordinary (i.e. food only) menus. Sorry for the confusion!!

A Jazz band was an option for a couple of pounds extra but I know that some of you are not fans of 'the devil's music'!!
