I hope you can join me on an attractive circular walk at the western end of the High Weald. We will be walking in countryside surrounding the villages of Slaugham, Warninglid and Bolney and crossing through the grounds of Wykehurst Park. Pub lunch at The Bolney Stage www.homecountiespubs.co.uk/bolneystage (who were so welcoming when I phoned them; always a good sign!) or picnic nearby.
We begin from outside St Mary’s Church, Slaugham (postcode RH17 6AG) at 10.15am. Park on the street opposite.
Please bring cars to the south end of Preston Park (near to the Rose Garden) for a 9.30am departure. Some members may need lifts and it would be really helpful if any car owners able to offer transport to other people could add a comment here to that effect. I will have 4 spaces in my little car.
