The weather looks poor this afternoon and if it is heavy rain at the start time, the walk will be cancelled. However in slightly better conditions, there is the possiblity to do half the walk and bus back or do the whole walk. I will be at Asda at the start time.

Slight change to the itinerary ( couldn't find the path when I did the pre- walk!) We are walking from Rottingdean to Woodingdean and back over the hills, starting at 10am. Should be fabulous views of the sea and good paths. There are some hills but these will be taken at a leisurely pace- burn off those calories before the Christmas binge begins! This walk is a little hilly at the start but you are then rewarded with fabulous views from Chanctonbury ring and then again from Cissbury Ring. A chance to explore the iron age fort and then, after your gentle 7 miles, reward yourself with a meal or bevy in the village. This walk is accessible by bus from Worthing South Street. 10.15 a.m. start. Bring a snack for the mid morning stop.
This is a completely flat walk around part of Chichester Harbour. Chichester Harbour is the single most important site in the southeast of England for waterfowl with 52,000 birds using this area in a year. It may also be possible to spot Harbour Seals. A gentle morning stroll in the sunshine across the downs above Woodingdean and down in the valley. Plenty of free parking. A quick water/coffee stop en route. 10.30 start. A half day walk across the downs above Brighton via the Hillfort and down into stanmer park to the cafe. Return via Lewes Road and then up through the wild park to rejoin the downs. On a fine day there will be fabulous views over Brighton and the sea in one direction and rolling country side at the other, Short coffee stop at the cafe. Meet at the bottle bank at the top of Hollingbury Park.

Join me for this 7 mile approx walk visiting Chanctonbury and Cissbury Rings. Spectacular views on a clear day; Mainly on chalk paths and two gentle climbs. Just a reminder that the final amount ( dinner cost- the deposit) and choices must be with me by Friday.. thanks to those who have already paid. As per the menu the 10% service charge is not optional for parties of 10 or more but will be payable on the night in cash. Drinks can be bought at the bar.

The red room at the Lord Nelson near Brighton station has been booked for a Christmas meal open to all Brighton Ramblers and friends The meal costs £22 for 2 courses and £25 for 3 courses plus a 10% service charge for parties over 10.
