The train leaves Brighton Station 9.47am so meet by the florists at 9.35am to arrive @ Southease 10.09. Single ticket only required.
The walk is hilly but worth it for the views. I have booked lunch for 10 at the Juggs so first come, first served!

The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted my walk has moved from the 2nd to the 9th on the programme. This is due to a delayed house move.
All walk details remain the same with lunch at the Eight Bells. See you at bus stop K opposite the Sea Life Centre at 9.25am on Sunday 9th Feb.

The walk is actually only to Kingston not Lewes (Mark got carried away!!) but if there is demand on the day, we can carry on to Lewes where you can elect to return by train instead of the bus if you wish.
Still meeting at 10am at the Level. Hope to see you there.

Meet at Brighton Station behind the Flying Bean coffee shop at 7.30 for the 7.43 train to Pevensey & Westham (arrives 8.35). Please note we have shortened the walk to 18 miles from 21 miles to make it a bit more manageable in the heat. Also to remind you that you will need to bring enough drinks and food for the whole day as we don't past any shops/pubs and that there aren't really any opportunities to drop out early.
We saw lots of wildlife on the…Continue

Just a reminder - meet at the Level at 10am as normal or at 10.45 at Crowlink National Trust (£2?) car park which is accessed between the pond and Friston Church off the A259. Lunch at the Golden Galleon pub. Taking bets if the blown up safe is still lying in the forest!! 9 miles if weather ok, 7 miles if not - I hope it is not snowing like last time I tried to do this one!
My number is 07941 146 137 - please text if going direct to start.
Look forward to…Continue

Hard to believe I know with the remains of snow on the ground but it is time to compile the spring/early summer 20s - 40s walks programme.
Usual drill - please submit your walk to me using the gird below to email@example.com (it would be great if you did…Continue

Although the roads in town are fine, I am not sure about those further out. As there is more snow forecast tomorow and as I have no wish to see anyone slide down a Seven Sister, off a cliff and into the sea so I am cancelling the walk.
I will run the full version in the next programme.

Just to let you know I have shortened the walk a little on Sunday as I had forgotten how long it takes to get to Friston - it is now about 6.5 - 7 miles and only takes in 4.5 of the sisters but still enough up and down bits to help towards your New Year keep fit resolutions........and a pub lunch afterwards to help you recover.
The parking is not brilliantly signposted - turn right (assuming you approaching from Brighton) immediately after the pond,…Continue
Thank you for being good hill walkers! I have just checked with my trusty bit of measuring string and the walk was actually 13 miles so it goes to show you can't believe what books always tell you!!
This walk will be about 10 miles now but still a few hills - worth it for the views and if we are lucky trainee paragliders who were very entertaining the other week.
Train from Brighton Station @ 10.09am (I shall be at the station from 9.50 am on the seats nearest the photo booth. I can get a few people cheaper train tickets but the terms of the rail discount mean you will have to travel with me there and back I'm afraid), arriving Lewes @ 10.25 for…Continue

Please join us for a linear walk from Balcombe to Falmer which follows the path of the train line down from London - although not slavishly. It takes in some lovely countryside which us commuters normally see from a different angle and the stunning Balcombe Viaduct. The walk is 20 - 25 miles depending on time and weather. If this sounds a bit daunting you are welcome to join us at the start for part of the walk - there are exit points at stations en route. The pace…
So far I have two walks for the next programme and that includes one that I am involved in! So please, please, please send in your walks asap. I understand that the walks are being very well attended and that there are lots of new faces. It would be a shame not to have the programme brimming with the walks we all so clearly enjoy (spot the desperate blackmail!!).
It is dead easy - pick a walk from a book or the internet, fill in the table in the leaders area…

A linear walk from Brighton to Lewes with a lunch stop at the Juggs. Plenty of time in Lewes afterwards if anyone fancies a drink/tea and cake. Train back from Lewes to Brighton. There does not seem to be any engineering works which is good.
Meet at the Level at 10am.
Hope to see you there. Any questions, please let me know - 07941 146 137.
