Many of you will be saddened to hear that Paul Hearn died suddenly in October this year. Paul had been a member of Brighton and Hove Ramblers for many years, both leading walks and serving on the committee. He was well known for wearing shorts even in the coldest weather, when the rest of us were wrapped in wind and weatherproof gear! He not only led walks on Thursdays and Saturdays, but led walks for his friends every Monday. We shall remember him particularly in the late spring, when he…Continue

Following pre-walk, distance will be 9 miles not 8.
It might be possible to have an early lunch but it is advisable to bring a light picnic.
The finishing time will be adjusted accordingly.

I have some tickets for the production of A Christmas Carol at Lewes Little Theatre, for Monday 9th December @ 19:45 at the discounted rate of £6. This is an adaptation by Gary Andrews. There is a bar at the theatre and the nearest car park is only round the corner and is free after six o'clock. If you want to watch a trailer for the show, there is one on YouTube - look up A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at Lewes Little Theatre. I think you'll admit it is rather good!

Nearby car parks are free after 18:00 and only a short walk to the theatre in Lancaster Street. There is a YouTube clip to view - look up A Christmas Carol by Lewes Little Theatre. There is the possibility of tickets for…Continue

There will be a display of some of the year's photographs at the AGM on 13th November.
Hope as many people as possible will pop along to see - the meeting won't last too long and you can get back for the best of Children in Need!

Brighton and Hove Ramblers will be having a stand at the Lewes Hike and Bike festival on May 30th. Two of our programmed walks will be linked to the festival and we hope to interest new members of all ages. Nearer the time, I will put out a plea for members to help man the stand for an hour or so. Watch this space!
