A kind Rambler has informed me that the famous Blue Bird Café in Ferring is currently closed.

The lunch stop will now be at The Sea Lane Café on the seafront in Goring which is about 6 miles from the start of the walk. sealanecafe.co.uk

As the East Beach Café is also closed, my intended stop at the end of the walk, we will now complete the walk at the top of Sea Lane Littlehampton to catch the 700 bus back towards Brighton. This will shorten the walk to about 12…

Christmas Dinner Picos BBQ

Thank you Terry for arranging a great BBQ yesterday. It was great to see most of the crew again.

We mentioned a Christmas Dinner at Into the Blue in Shoreham provisionally on Saturday 06/12

Have just spoken to the owner and unfortunately they can only cater for a party of ten. So back to the drawing board.

It is a great restaurant so if you enjoy fish do give it a go.

Kind Regards

Isle of Wight Walking Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July.

I hope that you all enjoyed my walk yesterday and that the breakaway flat brigade got back to Shoreham safely.

We spoke about a walking weekend to the Isle of Wight.

Looking to make an early start on Saturday 19th July to enable a 14 mile walk from Carisbrooke to Alum Bay. Maybe stay the night in either Freshwater or Yarmouth in a moderately priced hotel or B &  B. Alternatively return to Brighton same day.

On Sunday a shorter walk looking to be back in Brighton by…

Sunday 09-03-14. Shoreham Circular

Please note the I will not be at The Level because I live in Shoreham. We will be departing from the west side of the old toll bridge at 10.30am. Hopefully and according to the forecast "its going to be sunny" We will try and avoid the low lying river bits but do assume that there may be a little mud. See you on Sunday. Ian
