Hello All, the 20s-40s walk on Sunday starts at the Foresters Arms in Graffham.
It's a lovely figure of 8 walk of between 8-10 miles approx. We will climb onto the Downs & pass Seaford College and the Lavington Stud farm during the ramble. Lunch will be at the Foresters Arms pub, however please bring a picnic if you prefer. The train times have now changed :
Depart Brighton at 0909 arrive Hastings 1056, after change at Lewes.
Walk will commence at 1100 from Hastings Stn ( will wait for 1056 train if late ).
The walk is a little over 8 miles ( not 10 ) and there is a tea room at the lunch stop.

The Sunday's 20s/40s walk is a reprise of the one done at the beginning of this year. It's a very gentle ramble along one of the most scenic and historic pieces of coastline in England with lunch taken at the very friendly and good value Beachy Head pub. The hostelry can be viewed virtually from the begiining of the ramble, that's how short it is. A classic 8 mile walk including the South Downs Way and a lunch stop in Ditchling Village (pubs and tea shops). Depart from Hassocks Railway Station (next to Hassocks Hotel, BN6 8HN) at 10:30 am. There is a train leaving Brighton at 10:14 am (no engineering works reported). Walk leader is going direct to departure point.

I've had a good level of response and am going ahead with booking accommodation. If you are interested, I am taking deposits of £20 per person now, in order to secure the accommodation, the rest to be payable in November. The cost will not exceed £50 for the two nights.
