Sunday April 1st Arundel to Pulborough 20's - 40's

Meet west side of The Level at 10.00 cars required please.

Walk starts at Arundel Rail Station passing through Warningcamp and Burpham, onto Downs, descending to Amberly for lunch.

After lunch heading NE past Rackham Mill, Parham woods and Pulborough RSPB, onto Wigonholt church into Pulborough.

20s-40s Walk Reminder - Graffham - Sunday (25th March) - AM and/or PM walk possible

Hello All, the 20s-40s walk on Sunday starts at the Foresters Arms in Graffham.

It's a lovely figure of 8 walk of between 8-10 miles approx.  We will climb onto the Downs & pass  Seaford College and the Lavington Stud farm during the ramble. Lunch will be at the Foresters Arms pub, however please bring a picnic if you prefer. 25TH March - 40 / 50 Walk Hastings to Fairlight IMPORTANT CHANGE


The  train times have now changed :


Depart  Brighton at 0909  arrive Hastings 1056, after change at Lewes.

Walk will commence at 1100 from Hastings  Stn ( will wait for 1056 train if late ).


The walk is a little over 8 miles ( not 10 ) and there is a tea room at the lunch stop.

Burling Gap to Beachy Head and back- Mother's Day


The Sunday's 20s/40s walk is a reprise of the one done at the beginning of this year. It's a very gentle ramble along one of the most scenic and historic pieces of coastline in England with lunch taken at the very friendly and good value Beachy Head pub. The hostelry can be viewed virtually from the begiining of the ramble, that's how short it is. 40 / 50's Hassocks / Ditchling Beacon Ramble - Sunday 11 March

A classic 8 mile walk including the South Downs Way and a lunch stop in Ditchling Village (pubs and tea shops). Depart from Hassocks Railway Station (next to Hassocks Hotel, BN6 8HN) at 10:30 am. There is a train leaving Brighton at 10:14 am (no engineering works reported). Walk leader is going direct to departure point.

Brighton and Hove Beer Festival

Update Dorset weekend Feb 15/16 2013

I've had a good level of response and am going ahead with booking accommodation. If you are interested, I am taking deposits of £20 per person now, in order to secure the accommodation, the rest to be payable in November. The cost will not exceed £50 for the two nights. 

I am envisaging arrivals Friday afternoon and walks on Sat and Sun. I am planning to book dinner at a local pub for the Saturday evening.
