This is a gentle figure-of-eight walk with each circuit of approximately 6 miles. Some years ago Brighton Council opened up a five mile wheelchair and pram accessible trail on the South Downs at Stanmer. It won a lot of praise.

The walk this Sunday 22nd Feb will be approximately 10 miles in length and includes hills. We will walk from the Bopeep car park to Alfriston. Lunch will be in Alfriston with a choice of pubs and cafes. Bring your own lunch if you prefer. We then return to the Bopeep car park.
We will meet at The Level (west side) at 10 am. before driving to the start point.

Come and join us for a nice moderate walk through Friston forest and up on to the downs before descending down to Alfriston for lunch. There are lots of eating options in Alfriston, from tea shops to pubs.After lunch we will ascend back on to the downs and through the forest and back to the start.
