My walk this Sunday offers the opportunity to see three different types of windmill at work, with refreshments available at all three. We start at Blatchington mill, which opens at 10.00 for anyone looking for a coffee before departure at 10.15. Picnic lunch at Jill mill, followed by tea and cakes at Oldlands mill. Ten miles, some hills but also beautiful downland scenery. Take the 5B bus from Old Steine (stop H) at 9.24 (or Churchill Sq, stop B at 9.28) and alight at St Peters Church, Hangleton Road. Return from Friars Oak, Hassocks on the 40X bus at 4.58pm. Parking is available at Blatchington, but then you would have to return by the 5B to collect it!
