 **IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

This Sunday is the London-Brighton Bike Ride so there is some disruption to the bus service. Fortunately there is a train alternative so I have decided we shall get from Brighton to Lewes by train rather than bus. Please meet at Brighton Train Station to catch the 10:09 which gets in to Lewes at 10:24. The start of the walk will now be Lewes Train Station. The return journey from Isfield will be on the #29 bus which stops at Lewes Waitrose. Those coming by car can get off here to pick up their cars left in Lewes. Please note that the bus will run non-stop between Falmer Station and St. Peter's Church (see http://bit.ly/1v3AaJZ).

The walk takes us past 3 'orphaned' medieval churches where the current village has relocated. 2 were 'orphaned' due to the Black Death and the other never had a village around it in the first place. Your starter for 10!! We'll also pass by the site of a Roman ford and the disused Lewes-Uckfield railway. Lunch at the Royal Oak, Barcombe Cross for those who want it. Hope to see you on Sunday!
