I hope you can join me for a lovely walk across the less travelled (for B&HR) western Downs. The walk boasts stunning views of Harting Down, meandering paths through idylic woodland and lush, verdant valleys. We will lunch at Compton where there will a choice of a delightful cafe (10 people booked), the Coach and Horses Pub for 10 people max or a picnic on the village green.

We will start at 10:15 in the National Trust car park at Harting Down, east of Petersfield and south of South Harting, on the B2141 (fees apply) at SU790180 (nearest postcode = GU31 5PN). For those who wish to be wonderful, please take cars to the South end of Preston Park, Brighton, near to the Rose Garden, for a prompt 9:00 departure. If you could message your generosity too (either here or on our Meetup site)! The journey from there by car should take approximately 70 minutes. Leader will meet people at the start. Some moderate hills at the start. I have booked sunshine so it should be well worth the drive!
