We are the Brighton and Hove group of the national Ramblers. Walking and socialising in and around the South East of England.

Reminder: 30s–50s Rotherfield, Frant and Eridge Old Park Circular – Sunday 10th June 2018

This walk is 12 miles in length and goes through an attractive area of the High Weald, close to the East Sussex / Kent border. The terrain is undulating with a couple of longer hills and the total ascent / descent is approximately 1550 feet. There will probably be a few muddy sections, unless we are lucky and the ground has dried out.

Lunch will be in Frant where a reservation has been made at the George Inn. Alternatively, the nearby picturesque village green is a good spot for anyone wanting to have a picnic. Please let us know asap if you would like one of the pre-reserved places at our group table, which has been booked for 1.15pm. Our lunchtime stop is expected to last around 60-75 minutes, depending on how quickly the food is served by the pub.

Click here for further details of the walk, as this saves repeating everything already set out in the programme.

The Kings Arms in Rotherfield should be open if anyone fancies a pint or a coffee at the end of the walk.

I hope that some of you will be able to join us this Sunday. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we have some decent weather.
