We are the Brighton and Hove group of the national Ramblers. Walking and socialising in and around the South East of England.

Hi everyone.

The subject came up during the Dorset holiday this year of the pretty poor comfort levels at the Youth Hostel  in Litton Cheyney. Several people were still keen to 'do' Dorset but in maybe a more comfortable way. As a result, I've had a bit of a look and have found a group of cottages/barn conversions in Abbotsbury which would  be suitable for up to about 24 people. They all have either ensuites or a bathroom shared between a couple of people, and seem to be pleasant places.

I am wondering what the interest level would be. The cost would be up to £50 for both nights. Several of the cottages have big spaces that would be good for socialising if required, and three of them are very close to each other, two actually linked. There are two or three rooms with double beds, and the rest are twin rooms.

If you think you might be interested, would you let me know in the next week or so? If there is sufficient interest, I would be prepared to organise the accommodation. I would then ask for a deposit and for info as to who would like to share with whom.

Thanks!

Am so pleased Dorset is on the cards again for next year, and will be a change of accomodation as well. We must go back to Litton Cheyney one day again :)
