FILLIES, FUNICULARS, FOUNDERS AND TUDOR COCKTAIL HOUR

This week's walk starts on the Downs and takes us, via the old Lewes Race Course and a steep climb, to Offham Hill which is rewarded with stunning views over the Ouse valley. We descend to Offham village for lunch at the Blacksmiths Arms or picnic in the churchyard. The afternoon is spent strolling by the river with a detour along a disused railway and visit to a country church which is forever linked with Cambridge...USA!

Getting there: #28 bus leaving Churchill Sq. @ 09:35 and arriving Lewes Prison @ 10:03.

Return: Lewes Bus Station next to Waitrose - buses @ 17 & 47 mins each hour.

** Please note that the walk ends at Lewes Bus Station next to Waitrose so I suggest that those coming by car park somewhere in between here and Lewes Prison start point.**

Hope you can make it!
