Anyone who knows me will be aware I travel to the lake district 3 or times per year and consequently feel confident I can offer to lead walks in the lakes including a number of the infamous peaks ( knees willing ).
I will be making one such trip in September ( first week ) this year, staying for 4 nights in Keswick. I would like to open this trip up to a limited number of members of B & HRs who are also members of the Ramblers.
Before asking who would like to come along, I need to establish who may be willing to take their car to the Lakes and offer places to 2 or 3 other members. Clearly with out cars and drivers the party will be very small. I already have 2 cars committed and require 2 or 3 more, scaling the party to circa 15 walkers.
To give you the flavour of the trip, its staying 4 nights B & B in Keswick, four walks including one infamous mountain ( but the other walks wont disappoint ). Keswick offers many B & B accommodations, fine pubs and restaurants. In addition to walking there will be optional trips to the lakeside theatre and boat trips on windermere, ulleswater or derwent.
