Don’t forget BAHR’s summer barbecue on Saturday 12 July. Come along and enjoy good company and fine al fresco eating in an idyllic rustic setting on the edge of Ditchling village. Please bring your own food and drink, although hot dogs will be on sale for £1. Free hot drinks will be available. If you have your own barbecue, please bring that too, although limited communal barbecue facilities will also be provided. There will be a nominal charge of £2 per head to cover incidental costs, collected on the day.
The location is Mick Thatcher’s field in Spatham Lane, Ditchling. To reach Mick’s field turn right on to the B2116 at the crossroad in Ditchling towards Plumpton. Spatham Lane is approximately ¾ of a mile on the left, and the field is a further ½ mile on the left. It will be sign-posted.
There will be an optional walk starting from the field at 2.00pm. If you need a lift please meet at Preston Park station (east side) at 1.30. Drivers welcome! The barbecue will start when the walkers return from 4.00pm onwards.
This event was very popular last year. Come along and support us and have yourself a wonderful summer’s evening!
PS: if anybody has a guitar, please bring it along for a sing-song around the camp-fire.
