Dear All
Please join us for a linear walk from Balcombe to Falmer which follows the path of the train line down from London - although not slavishly. It takes in some lovely countryside which us commuters normally see from a different angle and the stunning Balcombe Viaduct. The walk is 20 - 25 miles depending on time and weather. If this sounds a bit daunting you are welcome to join us at the start for part of the walk - there are exit points at stations en route. The pace will be reasonable due to the distance. Please bring enough food, snacks and drinks for the day as there will be a picnic lunch only due to time constraints.
We will be meeting at Brighton Station at 7.45am - catching the 8am and arriving at Balcombe at 8.26am. You can buy a return from Falmer to Balcombe which allows you to depart from Brighton or you can buy a single to Balcombe if you want to catch the bus back from Falmer. We may be able to buy some people tickets with a third off on the day.
