Come and join us for this 19.5 mile walk this Sunday, it starts from Lewes station at 9.45 and we will be walking a fast pace in the morning, we walked this in April and we had 2 stops in the morning and we got to Alfriston at 13.45, for a 45 minute stop, in the afternoon we had 4x stops and we got to Eastbourne at 17.30.
If you only want to do half the walk, you can leave us at Alfriston by bus or train, the weather should be dry but cloudy thanks Big Neil

Hi all, i have some hip problems at the moment so my walk on Sunday will be shortened to 10 miles and finishing in Exceat / Seven Sisters country park, instead of back to East Dean,if you come by bus, you can still get the bus back to Brighton, if you come by car and park in east Dean, you can get the bus back to East Dean, it is only 3x stops.
Thanks for your understanding Neil

Come and join us for a nice walk through the forest and on to the downs before we go down to Alfriston for lunch,if you want to do just the morning part of the walk there is a bus from Alfriston once an hour which will take you back to the start of the walk, after lunch we leave Alfriston and follow the south downs way.
When we reach the top we do have a fairly long stop to admire the views, before continuing back through the forest and back to the start.

Come and join this lovely walk. If you have not done this walk before, there are some nice views from the top of the Downs, some fairly steep hills, but we do have a rest at the top of the hills.
With lunch in Alfriston and there are lots of eating options in the village and after lunch we have a steep climb up on to the South Downs Way, the weather forecast should be dry for Sunday, but it might be a bit cold.
Thanks Big Neil

Hope fully people are aware that it is Brighton,s marathon this Sunday, so if coming on my walk and on the bus please give your self plenty of time to get to the start.
On checking Brighton and Hove Buses there is a diversion for most of the routes and the 13x will not be calling at the sea life centre i think it is leaving from Churchill sq and then on to a27/a26 and then running fast to Seaford , the walk is meant to start at 10.40 but will hold untill 11.00
just in case…Continue
